I am deeply humbled and truly grateful to be named the REB Marketing Professional of the Year for 2024. This recognition is not just a milestone in my career but also a testament to the tireless dedication and creativity of the entire rowdyfox team. Each success we celebrate is a reflection of our collective effort.
Over my 14-year journey in real estate digital marketing, I have seen first-hand how the industry has dramatically evolved. How having a strong digital brand was once a ‘nice to have’ to now when it is a critical component of any successful brand or agents marketing plan.
Why real estate marketing has changed
Today’s homeowners are more informed than ever before. On average, they invite only 1-2 agents for a property appraisal, a stark contrast to the five or more agents that would have been considered several years ago. This shift is primarily due to the extensive online research that homeowners conduct long before they reach out to any agents. They review websites, check social media profiles, read blogs, subscribe to email lists, watch YouTube videos, download lead magnets, listen to podcasts, and scrutinise review sites. By the time they contact an agent, they have a clear idea of who they want to sell their home.
This change underscores the necessity of producing high-quality, valuable content consistently across all the key channels where potential vendors are looking. Without a strong online presence, that gets real cut through, agents risk not being found and, consequently, not being invited for appraisals.
The Journey to Winning
Reflecting on our team's journey, rowdyfox was created to address these exact challenges. Our goal is to help real estate agents and agencies develop supercharged digital programs and automate lead generation. Winning the REB Marketing Professional of the Year award for 2021 was a career highlight that reinforced my commitment to helping agents succeed in an increasingly competitive market. Now, being awarded the same honour in 2024 is a testament to the continuous evolution and effectiveness of our strategies.
Over the past year, we have had the privilege of working with a range of real estate agents, crafting high-impact digital campaigns that significantly boosted their online visibility and business outcomes. Each campaign was customised to leverage the unique strengths of each agent, maintain brand consistency, and maximise the use of AI technology for real-time optimisation and lead nurturing.
Key Insights and Results
The success of these campaigns has been remarkable. For example, over a four-month period, the campaigns generated over 400 leads, resulting in $676 million in completed and recorded sales property appraisals. This included $120 million in property sales and an additional $82 million in potential sales. One agent saw a staggering 1000% increase in appraisals, while another experienced a 129% increase in the value of properties sold.
These results are a direct outcome of leveraging advanced technologies, data-driven strategies, and integrated nurture programs.
